The Travel Tour Guide: A Tour Of The United States: Part 1

Having been born in the United States, I have significant experience traveling through the states in the union. I just recently finished up my most recent trip. In this entry are some photographs and some words of wisdom for the traveler new to the United States as well as some information related to the current conditions socially, financially, politically and so forth.

The State of Minnesota
Positives: Good lake fishing and camping, clean environment outside the city.
Negatives: Crony capitalism and intellectual property theft is rampant at hotels and cafes, even secure connections can be broken. Operations are paid for by local businesses which have been struggling economically for years. Crony law enforcement doesn't enforce the law unless the report is a physical crime in progress such as rape or assault. Gangs, prostitution, drugs, forced-homelessness, poverty, stalking and political and legal corruption are common. Gangs performing sreet-theater are used for tourism when there is a large group of middle-class foreigners or a small group of rich foreigners, but don't allow this to lure you in as it is used against foreigners to set them up for theft or extortion.
Recommended: There is very little crime and corruption outside of Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding suburban areas. The population is less dense, the people are more polite and the scenery is much better.

Conclusions: Don't travel there unless you want to go camping, hunting or fishing. The towns of Brainerd, Walker and Duluth are ideal locations for outdoor recreational activity in Minnesota, USA.

The State of Nevada
Positives: If you are into gambling, look to Las Vegas, a very lively 24 hour city.
Negatives: Located in the middle of a desert wasteland. High crime, corruption, muggings, poverty and street theater give the illusion to targeted tourists that this isn't happening. Because of the extreme gap between rich and poor, the outskirts of Las Vegas, and unsuccessful gambling towns, are very similar to the conditions you might find in Mexico City, Mexico. A high level of surveillance technology assures you that you will be profiled everywhere you go and remembered on your return trips for your preferences, good and bad.
Recommended: If you travel to Nevada, stay in Las Vegas but don't stay for long and don't try to win. Keep an eye out for the deals you get just for going there. Try to make it look like your being an aggressive or naive gambler so you keep a positive profile.
